E-waste Recycling Research
E-waste Recycling- better identifying and disposing of potentially hazardous e-waste (lab-top batteries, computers, batteries, etc.): only a small percentage of e-waste is recycled while the other materials are thrown in landfills, one big set back of this is that some e-waste materials contain chemicals that are bad for the environment like mercury, lead, and cadmium. Pulsed power which is pulsed electric discharges that help deactivate electronics and are a cleaner way to recycle those materials. What we will be using pulsed power for here will be to separate materials apart, specifically the plastics and valuable metals of the electronics.
